Subcontract Administrator

The Subcontracts Administrator will be responsible for day to day cradle to grave subcontract administration:
  • Negotiate and finalize subcontract documents and modifications for projects including reviewing all FAR provisions, SOW, and Terms and Conditions, verifying rate/cost amounts, and reviewing required vendor forms and certifications.
  • Preparation of subcontract briefs and funding documents.
  • Review of subcontractor cost proposals to include negotiating specifications and contractual provisions, preparation of proposal narrative templates, coordination with teammates and development of pricing schedules.
  • Ensures proposals are in compliance with Government regulations.
  • Reviews terms and conditions of subcontracts to provide risk assessment to management.
  • Review teaming agreements and provide input to corporate management about any required or proposed modifications.
  • Ensure that all subcontract insurance requirements are met.
  • Ensure that subcontractor invoices and payments comply with subcontract terms.
  • Coordinates subcontract funding with Contracts and Accounting departments.
  • Works in collaboration with accounting department to ensure integration of appropriate subcontract information into Deltek to ensure accurate subcontractor expense and billing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you will need
  • A minimum of 5 years contracts/subcontracts experience
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience with all Government Contract Types (T&M, Fixed Price, Cost Plus)
  • Strong working knowledge of the FAR and Government agency FAR supplements
  • Experience with various government agencies and commercial customers
  • Proficiency with Deltek or similar accounting system
  • Proficiency with business software programs (Microsoft tools--Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Strong financial background
