Air Intelligence Analyst

DUTIES: 
Support to Aviation Advisory Operations, Including Flight Operations (required)
Supports partnered US & Afghan (RW) combat aviation advisory ops
 
  • Produces aviation focused intelligence estimates (EMLCOA; EMDCOA) for RW ops
  • Exchanges intel w/other agencies, especially AVN Brigade/Task Force intel offices
  • Coordinates intelligence inputs to Mission Planning; Air Mission Briefs; Back Briefs
  • Conducts post-flight debrief for intelligence gathering
  • Advises CDRs on threat systems deployment, employment, tactics and capabilities
  • Performs and oversees analysis and fusion of collected intelligence
  • Produces assessments to meet aircrew training and operational requirements
  • Analyzes data to advise planners of options to accomplish objectives
  • Assists in operational employment planning
  • Maintains isolated personnel reports.
 
Support to Personnel Recovery Operations (required)
Provides intelligence capabilities in preparation for/in response to unit isolated personnel events:
  • Support PR planning and execution with PR specific intelligence planning; understand counter-PR capabilities and potential adversary courses of action with respect to isolated personnel
  • Provide conduit to other intelligence agencies, including theater/national level, for a PR event
  • Maintain isolated personnel reports (ISOPREPS) and evasion plans of action (EPAs) completed by potential isolated personnel
 
Afghan Unit Intelligence Assessment and Planning (desired)
Conducts assessment of Afghan unit’s ability to conduct requisite aviation unit intelligence functions; develops time-phased plan to increase intel capability ISO
